I received a voicemail today from Caterham Midlands saying that the car had passed the IVA!
We had no feedback as to whether there had been any issues with the test or even the post build check.
They are now going to send the stuff off to the DVLA to get the car registered.
After the farcical amount of time the IVA application has taken I am not holding my breath as to when this will be completed….
Carl spoke to Caterham today. I’m losing the will to live on this so could not be bothered.
Apparently they received the IVA paperwork yesterday and have booked the car for the test on 1 June!! That would be three months since I sent the application off. Carl had a bit of a whinge at them pointing out that at this rate the summer would be over before we get the car registered.
The car has been insured for nearly six weeks so that is a complete waste of money too!
They called back and said they have managed to get it in for the 19th May.
Assuming it passes – and as the PBC has not been done we do not know how easily it will – how long will we then have to wait for the next stage of admin with the DVLA?
This final episode is putting a serious dampener on the whole Caterham build experience…
